Frequently Asked Questions
Answers to common questions about orthodontic treatments
1
Is Invisalign suitable for me?
Aligner treatments are possible for 99% of our clients, regardless of age. We recommend a comprehensive initial consultation where we take scans, photos, and X-rays to provide a personalized plan and quote.
2
Can I transfer my ongoing treatment from another orthodontist?
There is a high probability that you will have to restart with us. Treatment plans are specific to each practitioner's training and goals. We need to assess if we can take over a treatment during a consultation.
3
What are attachments?
Attachments are small, tooth-colored shapes attached to your teeth. Our computer locates teeth needing extra support, and the doctor determines the number of attachments for the best results.
4
How often do I change my aligners?
Typically, you change your aligners every 14 days, though sometimes it may be more frequent depending on your treatment plan.
5
Can I eat or drink with aligners?
Drinking is fine, but avoid drinks that are too acidic or colorful. You should remove aligners before eating and put them back in after your meal.
6
What if there is too little space for my teeth?
Sometimes we use a thin sandpaper to polish a bit of the enamel between some teeth (IPR) to create the necessary space for proper alignment.
7
How often are appointments for fixed braces?
For fixed braces, we typically need to adjust your wires every 4 to 5 weeks.

What should I do in case of an emergency?
Please call the clinic for an appointment. For late emergencies outside opening hours, please follow our emergency protocol or contact your dentist.
